Oncology Speech Pathology and Dietitics Clinic

In collaboration with Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) Kristine Smith from Cancer Care Nutrition, our Speech Pathologists Eleanor and Kylie Perkins provide specialised support for patients with head and neck cancers, as well as other cancers such as oesophageal, lung, breast, and brain cancers, who are undergoing surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy. Our team works with you to address swallowing, speech, and voice challenges, supporting nutrition, communication, and daily life.

During your appointment, Eleanor or Kylie and Kristine work closely with you to assess your needs, provide education, and develop individualised therapy plans. This may include exercises for swallowing and voice, strategies for safe eating and drinking, and guidance for nutrition or tube feeding if required. Your care is coordinated with your oncology and nursing teams to ensure support is tailored to your treatment stage and personal goals.
